Through our Parish School of Religion, we offer weekly religious instruction to children in grades kindergarten through eight who are attending public schools. Our Lady Parish School of Religion represents a commitment from the parish expressing the mission of the Catholic Church to proclaim the mission of Jesus Christ to all people. This is accomplished through a program of continuous religious education (K-8th Grade) aimed at teaching gospel values, nurturing faith development, and moral formation of each student. Students must have ongoing Archdiocesan approved Religious Education in the 2nd grade and Confirmation in 8th grade are offered. Our Lady School of Religion seeks to assist parents in their role as primary educators in preparing their children to hear and live the teaching of Christ as embodied in our Catholic Tradition and to grow in living relationship with God and others.

Our Lady PSR Sacrament Program
Our Lady Parish School of Religion’s Sacrament Program is designed with focus on family participation; study of the sacraments; service and celebration of the sacrament. Some events require mandatory attendance by the students and parent or parents.
The PSR aides the parents in preparing their child/children for the reception of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist in the 2nd grade and Confirmation in the 8th grade.
It is absolutely necessary for students attending the sacrament grades, 2nd and 8th grade, to attend classes regularly. They musts also complete all assignments and participate fully in the process of the program. Parent involvement is very important in both sacramental programs. At least one parent MUST attend all parent meetings. Parent meetings will be listed on the PSR Calendar. Advance notification of mandatory meetings will be sent via e-mail.
If you child has not been:

Received First Eucharist
Please inform the PSR Director or Pastor. Arrangements can be made to obtain proper religious education to receive these sacraments.
